Water Pro Development, out of Houston, has hired us as his main draw to pull visitors into his booth at the WQA Aqua Tech 2011 trade show in San Antonio, TX. This will be a green screen shoot and attendees will be placed in front of the Alamo and provided with a link to download their pictures.
Don Akers from Water Pro Development is an active dirt bike racer and has used his dirt bike to draw people into his booth at trade shows in the past. Don found that his dirt bike opened the door to a conversation with attendees however he was limited to those that were walking right in front of his booth. This year Don was looking for a way to draw people in several rows away. After thinking for a while Don decided what if he could have a photographer giving away pictures in his booth.
Why pictures? First the constant flash of light would be seen much further away from his booth and generate interest with attendees. Second it was it was a free souvenir and keepsake of their trip to Texas. Many attendees were visiting from outside of the United States and would love to have their picture taken in front of the Alamo even if it was green screened.
After looking for a while, Don came across us here at DigiBooth and knew we were the ones he had to have at his booth. We were able to accommodate all his needs and then some. We were able to provide a professional and seamless workflow for his booth. As with all our setups we put up a professional quality studio light with an umbrella to light the pictures taken. Standing at a height of around 7.5 feet, the bright flash of light was seen from several rows away sparking interest and drawing people in. If you’ve ever attended a trade show you know that several forest have been cut down just to supply all the paper needed for all the flyers, brochures, and ads you’re handed. Don knew this as well and decided that the no print DigiBooth was what he needed. Attendees loved that option too.
